@jezell@PhiloGroves My guess is we're all still in the race to build an AI harness for a lot of what we're doing, even those inside OpenAI.
Otherwise they'd be doing hundreds of billions of tokens a day.
Just running the evals should be a few billion tokens.

How is OpenAI's top token user only using 100 Billion tokens per month? That's only 3.3B tokens per day.
Should be using 100B tokens per day. I have some ideas for how to use that much.

@dark_road_games@FinancialPhys many of the societal changes are less organic than it appears we're finding.
It's probably everything, dating, food delivery, tech. The food delivery and ridesharing thing is 100% a jobs program for foreigners - the modern we should have picked our own cotton.

Sam Altman reveals that OpenAI’s top “token leader” uses 100B tokens every month, and still falls short of the world’s highest user.

@LibertySavage01 Great thread, the info was new to me after the 7th tweet, which was refreshing.
So it's worse than we thought.
The good news is we now have a clear line. If a supposed ally thinks the police or military are their friends, then you know they'll turn you in.
@LibertySavage01 I just learned two months ago and it was really hard for me to accept.
What blackpilled me on the military was seeing a military member who advocated for effective "solutions" immediately backtrack when their family was pressured.

Yesterday, we learned that cops are not our friends.
Today, I'm learning that traffic courts aren't even real courts. They're a legal carveout to sidestep constitutional protections and protect state interests.
The more I learn about history, the worse it gets.
@lukeburgis So there's a probability that the "we care about helping people and safety" is marketing cover?
That they just say pretty words for PR so they get the public on their side?
Definitely seems like a possibility now that you mention it.
@CassieCEW Dang, how did you live with that knowledge for so long without going crazy? I just learned this 2 months ago so I'm pissed.
There's so much about policing that's just for profit and protecting the people screwing us from consequences.
@HealthRanger We're past the point of caring whether it's truly "for the greater good".
We just need them to stop. And if they won't stop, then that tells you everything you need to know.

So you know they're not really trying to "stop diseases" right?
The reason they do this is because it gives them the cover to run genetic experiments. You can't audit the 32 million mosquitoes that are released.
There'll be some "special" mosquitoes in that bunch, bet on it.
