@DrDoctavious I agree but unless a genuine star that can shoot becomes available I think he’s staying put. Amen-Reed-Sengun just don’t work unfortunately
Ime Udoka on if the offense will be different next year -- he says he expects to play differently offensively next year just based on the personnel that was missing (Fred, Adams, KD at the end).
He says he does not see any changes to the coaching staff.
Maybe play your back up PG that you drafted at number 3 instead of just throwing him in the deep end in the first round? Yanked him at every little mistake he made and wasn’t ready come playoff time. Get yourself a microwave scorer off the bench and some shooters
Probably the most interesting part of Ime Udoka's postgame was his discussion of the future roster, what they need to address, and not just depending on Fred and Steven coming back.
“Do need to address some needs, the lack of shooting at times.”
Ime went on to say maybe looking at a backup point guard and also said
“Have some very interesting conversations having a little bit more of a mix instead of some duplicates out there.”
@RedNinetyFour I’d at least test the market with Sengun but if there’s really no clear improvement I’d run it back but with much better bench help. They desperately need scoring and ball handling. No more clint Tate DFS green
@pluto_vii@BGNHoops I meant a centre with a mid range threat. He’s already a top tier driver with two centres that don’t have a shot outside of the paint lol
@JTGatlin I think amen is too talented to move on from him and has made clear improvements offensively. I just don’t think amen and Alpi co exist other
@AbelGe87@RocketsEdits Yes? He’s a game low -19 and has been outplayed by Ayton and Hayes? He’s not good enough defensively to put up stinkers like this offensively. I’m a huge alpi guy but I really thought he’d dominate this matchup. Imagine it was Chet/Wemby/Gobert?
@Kchile22 I agree but at the same time this is the young core they are building around. This series showed some worrying signs, just not sure how u can move forward with both amen and Sengun (two absolute non shooters)
@AbelGe87 You hold players to higher accountability. Sengun going 1 on 1 and struggled against ayton of all people while providing little to no impact defensively
