Scarcity must not become a way of life in the fourth largest economy in the world. There is enough Water, Energy, and talent to fulfill the American Dream
@NickKristof You are disgusting! What a backhanded compliment. You have proven again to be a self absorbed clown. Do you actually believe anyone respects your wrong headed opinions? I bet you’d be happier if Saddam was still butchering the people of Iraq.
The ritual rescinding of endorsements is repulsive. Of course he should withdraw and should have never have started. The scurrying into the shadows of the very people who egged him tells us much more about them than him. We already knew about his past and his problems.
When you decriminalize crime, statistics for crime appear to decrease. Go into any grocery store or other retailer and ask them how much they lose to theft. CA penal code 211: Robbery is the felonious taking of personal property in the possession of another, from his person or immediate presence, and against his will accomplished by means of force or fear. That doesn’t reflect property crimes against business owners.
@CAgovernor All of this happens when you decriminalize crime. The intellectual simplicity of Gavin Newsom is disgraceful. How do you know he is lying? His lips are moving. This is what we get with a leftist supermajority in CA.
And imbeciles like you don’t believe in a Republic. When have you ever produced anything other than empty words and schemes to steal wealth and give it to people who will not work?
If you lived as you preach at least you’d be credible. How much wealth do you have compared to the “average” American? Why don’t you give your wealth away?
You are a fool who was handed the world on a platter. Your feckless failures have wasted billions of our tax dollars. The train to nowhere is an obvious example along with the money you’ve wasted to no purpose.
I saw you speak more lies at ACWA. You are a disgrace to the Governor’s office.
@RepBera Does that mean that every time you oppose a bill that we should tell you to stop acting like a child? You have done nothing to support the people of CA-6. Robb Tucker for CA-3!
I have a lot of catch up to do with my business. I am more interested in focusing my efforts on down ballot races to improve CA-4, CA-6, and CA-3 from the inside out. I also have a lot of water district work to do.
I’ll track what you’re doing but will be on the sidelines for a while.
Politics is often very strange. Yesterday I took a call from a good friend of mine who said he received a political card about me. He didn’t recognize the picture as those who sent the card used a real picture of me and failed to include the picture of my “stunt double”
I’ve attached the card so you can all see what they wrote. It was immediately clear to me, when I stopped laughing, that I had arrived as a candidate because someone had put out an aggressively negative ad about me! It feels great! The only reason someone would do that is if my campaign was significant enough to make me a real threat to one of the other candidates.
My guess is they spent between $20,000 and $30,000 to mail the cards. As my business is direct mail, I can speak with real authority on that point. I must thank them for putting my name in front of probably 40,000 voters at no cost to me. I’m confident that with the unflattering pictures, and the negative message, serious voters will know that I am the only serious Republican Candidate in CA 4.
If you’ve read this far, go a little farther and read the reason why I did in fact vote to increase water rates in Citrus Heights. If you want to know more, leave a comment below and I’ll try to answer you.
I don’t know how much you want to hear about the process we use in Citrus Heights to set water rates. As a Special District, we are about 97% dependent on our rate payers to cover all the costs of running the district. That includes day to day operations and maintenance and long-term infrastructure projects. We have between $750,000,000 and $1,000,000,000 worth of infrastructure that must be maintained for the next 100 years so that when people turn the tap, water comes on. The CHWD has done a great job for years managing our infrastructure and we are not facing immediate problems. Much of our district was built out in the 60’s – 80’s. With a life expectancy of between 70 and 100 years for most pipe, we are facing a lot of Water Main replacements starting in 2030. We have been working on this for years and I believe that modest rate increases now will set us up to provide safe, reliable, and affordable water for generations. See less
