I watched weekend after weekend for two years at the Palestine demonstrations people being told to remove masks and being arrested if they didn’t. Last weekend at carnival I saw police forcing people to remove decorative flag bandanas or face arrest.

I think a big reason I don’t mourn the end of connections for too long is because they usually were always clearly going to end. Whether it be 1 month, 1 year, or 10 years. I can usually see traits that would’ve eventually had me leaving so, better sooner than later.
