@elonmusk If we really want to go with solar, we have a few hurdles to overcome. #1 Collect in space to avoid heating the planet and avoid atmospheric interference. #2 Send collected energy planetside. #3 Storge for collected energy. A satellite "Dyson sphere" network would be a start.
