@IARepD5 Agree. God owns the land. Lev. 25:23. The state is not authorized to collect on something it doesn't own. And the state has never been authorized to mandate taxes to educate children. The education of children is given to the jurisdiction of the family (Deut. 6:3; Eph. 6:1-4).

Those are good stats, Bob. But are they the stats God is most interested in? We had an opportunity to protect all unborn with an equal protection bill last year. I pray we will be bold and faithful this year. Any governor needs to lead in the fear of God and not of man going fwd.

@samjones217 It is inexcusable that Iowa has not abolished abortion. The Scripture does not allow for us to allow (by our laws) the murder of some, no matter the age.
Iowa needs some stronger leadership in Leg. and Exec. branches soon.

I am so thankful that a brother challenged me on this a number of years ago. I had no idea that (1) the architects of the government school system (Horace Mann, Dewey, etc.) had an agenda that played out perfectly. (2). The Scripture shows that education of children belongs to the family jurisdiction. Deut. 6:6-7, 11:19; Prov. 22:6; Ps. 78:4-6; Eph. 6:4 Taxation to educate in gov’t schools is not authorized by God.

@IARepD5 @IowaRTL @IowaFaith @IowaStandard I recommend this: "Make Prolife listen to pastors again." We are saying that in order to have a biblical, God-pleasing approach to abortion, you have to go very basic. No complicated stipulations. Equal weights & measures. Like the church used to do.

Behind on homosexuality, abortion, requirements for civil magistrate (Protestant male in good standing), women in combat.

@SteveDeaceShow This is true. I will add that pastors need to preach and teach what God authorizes them to tax and spend on. Many Christians have not been taught this element of biblical ethics. They certainly don’t teach it in government schools; that would be self-defeating.
