President @KagutaMuseveni: It’s a mistake for our young people to expect many job opportunities in the administrative sector. If you have a degree, go into farming. Therefore, our social sciences graduates should aim to join the private sector.

The last dance...
For nearly 4 years #NTVDanceParty has enhanced your Saturday night experience with the best party on TV in Uganda. Tonight, we close this chapter. The team appreciates all of the support it has received from the audience. Join us for one last party.
Last night, it was my pleasure to accompany my wife, Charlotte, for a fundraising dinner for Bishop's Girls School in Rushere. Charlotte was the guest of honour and over 555,000,000/- were raised for the construction of a multipurpose hall. I thank all those who contributed to this worthy cause.
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu.
This is to inform you that today, the 21st of October, 2023, we paid a serious visit to the ADF terrorists in Congo. Our gunships attacked a big camp of these criminals, 60kms from the border, Ntoroko side. The attack was devastating because it was a clear target and the reconnaissance plane, was monitoring from the air.
Congratulations to our Air-Force and the SDR that locates these criminals. Meanwhile, the group of 5 People that burnt the lorry, the tourist van and killed the 2 tourists with their driver, is being hunted in the area to the left of Bweera- Kikoroongo Road as you come from Bweera.
The UPDF should involve the Police and the Wanainchi to hunt for these groups, running from Congo. They are no longer a military problem. They are; Police, popular vigilance and anti-terrorism efforts. We are destroying their base in Congo.
We salute H.E Tshisekedi for agreeing to work with us to uproot these criminals.

The unfortunate shooting of two tourists and their driver/tour guide in Queen Elizabeth National Park is as despicable as it is scary.
May the souls of the innocent dead, rest eternally in peace.
I was in the park with my clients, on the famous Kazinga Channel⏤ arguably one of the single best opportunities to see as many animals in QENP, only about a week ago, so it could have been me or my clients or anybody else.
It is my hope and prayer that these senseless killers are found soon, justice served and QENP secured and re-opened for travel.
Aptly named the Medley of Wonders, QENP, is the second most visited national park in Uganda, after Murchison Falls National Park. It is also one of the most endowed⏤home to over 95 mammal species, including 20 carnivores and over 600 bird species. This is in addition to the Katwe explosion craters as well as Lakes, George and Edward.
As the country and the tourism sector recover from the shock and as we await the reopening of QENP, given the strategic importance of the tourism sector to Uganda, we can lessen the negative impact of this regrettable incident on the tourism sector if we moderate the way we report about it or post about it on social media.
Right about now, there are so many tourists who were planning to visit Uganda that are on the brink of cancelling their safaris and some have indeed cancelled and or postponed. See, unlike those of us here, there are many out there who do not for example understand, how far Kasese/QENP is from Kampala, Entebbe Airport or even Kidepo National Park or Kibale Forest National Park. For this tourist or travel company, it may be easy to cancel their safari to for example Kidepo, because of this incident, thinking that the whole country is unsafe.
It helps, whenever we post or write stories about this incident, to help clarify to the readers that QENP is over 350 km away from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, the main gateway into the country.
While we report about QENP, it could be more beneficial to also inform our readers/followers that it is one of 10 national parks, 12 wildlife reserves, 13 wildlife sanctuaries as well as 5 community wildlife management areas, all of which are uniquely endowed with attractions. So instead of cancelling a safari, they could instead consider these alternatives.
Reemphasising that Kasese district is one of 135 districts in Uganda, for example, will help readers appreciate how isolated this incidence is. There have been 550 mass shootings in the United States this year alone todate, according to the Gun Violence Archive, but you don’t see their media reporting, “40 people shot in America”. Instead, most of the reporting is localised.
We cannot reverse the unfortunate incident, but we can lessen the impact it will have on the tourism sector. Losing the three lives and losing the impactful contribution of the tourism sector on Ugandan households, would be a double tragedy.
Lastly, we can also be a little bit more intentional by posting a few more positive images about Uganda and our tourism attractions, than we usually do.
It helps, trust me.
Fellow Ugandans and, especially, the Bazzukulu.
Yesterday, the 17th of October,2023, we had a most unfortunate and infuriating incident in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. A couple of tourists and the Ugandan driver with them were killed at around 1800hrs on the Katwe- Kabatooro murram road, by a small group of terrorists running away from our operations in Congo, as I had shared with you in a previous message.
It was a cowardly act on the part of the terrorists attacking innocent civilians and tragic for the couple who were newlyweds and visiting Uganda on their honeymoon. Of course, these terrorists will pay with their own wretched lives.
However, killing these wretched individuals will not bring back the lives of these wonderful friends of Uganda who had chosen our country for their honeymoon out of the 193 Countries of the world. Our High Commission in the UK will reach out to their families and provide whatever support is necessary in this tragic situation.
More importantly, the UPDF, the Police, the UWA and Intelligences should ensure these mistakes do not happen again and that ADF is wiped out. The wiping out is moving very well. What needs to be done is to ensure that the remnants do not commit these atrocities. That is why I congratulate, again, the Wanainchi, the Police and other agencies on preventing the bombing of Bunamwaya, Kayanja’s church and the churches in Kibibi, Butambala.
There were a few gaps in the handling of these remnants. UWA was guarding tourists once they were in the Park. However, apparently, the tourists were arriving and departing individually. It is this gap that they used.
Secondly, the UPDF has been using one form of tracking these fugitive groups from Congo, Kufuata Nyayo- following their tracks (ekisinde, ekirari). There are more reliable ways of tracking, which we have discussed with the Army.
The terrorists will be defeated like Kony was defeated and the cattle rustlers that have been killing people in Karamoja and the surrounding districts or those that were cutting People with pangas (bijambiya) in Masaka.
May their souls rest in eternal peace.
