When I was on LAFCO we demanded fiscal transparency in light of it’s financial problems so residents could decide if they wanted to keep it or seek services from Daly City or the Sheriff’s Office.

On this Cesar Chavez Day I am in Delano, CA, marching with Cesar Chavez’s son, Paul Chavez, and thousands of people from across California including the SM Labor Council and Ayudando Latinos A Soñar - ALAS, in support of of farmworkers and immigrant workers.
Yesterday, we were honored to have two of Cesar Chavez’s daughters and his granddaughter join us, along with ALAS, Puente, and Coastside Hope, and local farmworkers, as we celebrated Farmworker Appreciation Week in San Mateo County.
On Monday, March 31st, I will be traveling to Delano, CA to represent San Mateo County in the March to Support Immigrant Workers on Cesar Chavez Day. All are welcome to join the march in Delano.
