Kenya's education debate has become interesting.
Students say fees are too high.
Universities say funding is too low.
Government says the model works.
Meanwhile, 133,676 students disappeared from Kenya's universities in just one year
The scenes on Thika Road and Kisii yesterday should alarm anyone who cares about our beloved country.
State-sponsored armed militias are a dangerous path to choose.
Boko Haram, RSF, Bwa Kale are just a few examples of what happens when we let armed militias reign.

Hundreds of thousands of Kenyans have been tortured, maimed and murdered by state agents since 1964.
Torture and murder of civilians did not start in 2017 and has not ended.
Selective and minor monetary compensation will not bring accountability and justice for those who have been brutalized or killed. Nor will such insensitive acts prevent ongoing or future brutalities.
Aside from overhauling the entire colonial state with its brutal anti-African culture, we should, at the minimum, have a JUDICIAL INQUIRY (not a commission of inquiry), which covers the period between 1964 and 2026, with no artificial limitations on the questions and people to be inquired into.
A sharp decline in student numbers has hit universities four years after President William Ruto’s new funding model was introduced, exposing deep cracks in the system.
Data from the Ministry of Education shows that university enrolment has fallen to a seven-year low.

Ronaldo is about to face Spain for the 4th time in 6 World Cups: 2006, 2010, 2018, 2026
He has also faced Brazil in 2010, Germany in 2014, and England in 2006.
Meanwhile Messi has played 6 World Cups and still hasn’t faced Spain, England, Brazil, or Italy once.
But we’re supposed to pretend the paths are the same?

All leaders who believe in the liberation- #Ukombozi- of Kenya must come together to RESET the country to Constitutionalism, Rule of Law and Economic Opportunity for all.
No country has overcome major structural, architectural and institutional challenges without a revolution.
Four leading economic, industrial and military powers of the world—USA, Russia, China and France—all emerged from revolutionary earthquakes.
Each of these countries were transformed through revolutionary earthquakes:
America in 1765 to 1789.
France in 1789.
Russia in 1917.
China in 1949.
Yet you sit there, in a structurally, architecturally and institutionally DEFECTIVE country, with your mouth open, yelling that “revolutions are too bloody.”
No child is born and nourished without blood.
And not all revolutions are or must be bloody. But absolutely no society/country will overcome structural defects without a revolution (the complete overhaul and transformation).
