@donwinslow @AP I am also retiring, so congrats! But I am dismayed to hear you are retiring! I have every one of your books on my bookshelves, next to Connelly, Chandler, etc.

Super pumped for this!

I’ve got many relationships with the great people at KCSN. Excited to come aboard and work with some great talents.

And for clarity, everything else I do stays the same (SI, my podcast, AA, etc). This is an addition to the workload, and a welcome one!

@MattVerderame I have boxes of SIs that go back to my childhood (looong time ago.). That magazine has been a significant part of my life. Years ago I wrote for a variety of magazines and watched them die, one by one, victims of the internet. Beyond happy at this rescue.

🚨Hey ... HEY! Annoucement time!🚨

Starting next Monday, I'm launching The Matt Verderame Show, a video podcast heavily focused on Chiefs football.

I'll have two episodes per week, with the shows featuring notable guests, answering your questions, my insider analysis and much more!

How it works is simple. The podcast is on Patreon and is broken into two tiers (click the link below).

You pick which one works best for you. Regardless, you're going to get elite content.

And for those wondering, nothing else is changing. I'm still cranking out the hits at SI on a national level. This is a passion project aimed to serve passionate Chiefs fans. Let's party!

@mitchholthus @Chiefs @PSchrags Mitch, I'm getting to be a softie in my old age, been following the Chiefs since Hank Stram, and I listened to your call of the winning TD pass when I got into work early this morning and broke down into tears.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame They grow up so fast. Savor every second of the time they’re in footies and want to be in your lap and have you read to them; it’s here and gone in what feels like seconds.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame Praying for this to lead to something good for you, as hard as that may be to imagine. SI was a regular part of life in my house growing up, my dad had a sub and I’ve always had a sub. As a former writer, I can imagine how amazing it must be to see your byline in the mag.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame They make battery operated foot and hand warmers that work really well.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame One of the worst things about the Chiefs not being “The Chiefs” this season is Sneed not getting the recognition he’d get if they were a Super Bowl team.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MitchSchwartz71 Veach destroyed a Mahomes season by assuming we could win with no proven NFL caliber WRs.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame Get rid of MVS and Toney and Moore, put them all on "IR" and let your WRs be Rice, Watson, and James, with Pacheco running the ball again, CEH on some catches out of the backfield, same for McKinnon, Kelce back to being Kelce, and we might just resuscitate this offense.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame Why did they both go crazy about a call that WAS a penalty but no public comments about a BLATANT PI non call that likely costs them the game against the Packers?

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@LoverOfNFL @TomPelissero Assuming he’s guilty.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@StoneColdJones @McDonalds Chris, love ya man, but your agents are taking advantage and giving you bad advice. Look at their track record.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame Before long Jones will have forfeited more money than the difference between the Chiefs offer and Jones/agents demands.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@Arrowhead_Adam If that’s true Veach is an idiot. And hurting the team. That number is an insult.

[RaymondChandler @Raymond82295391]

@MattVerderame was there any sign or hint that the Chiefs were going to completely drop Buechele? It seems it quickly went from young backup they like to being completely cut in days.

@ArrowheadAddict 3rd behind Pacheco and McKinnon
