@nwcfl defenders heaved a collective sigh of relief 🥳 at the news that Seán Doyle announced his retirement last week.

Loads of stats about appearances, Football Focus, goals scored blah blah blah, but 2️⃣ things slipped under the radar.

1️⃣ in the euphoria of receiving the Play Off final trophy🏆his first thought was to turn & share the moment with the captain who missed the whole season through injury. 🤝

2️⃣ @barlickfc (A) 3/12/22. Seán out injured for the season travels away to ‘babysit’ 🚼 for a team mate on a record run of appearances. 👏

And, could he do it on a cold Wednesday night in @CheadleTownFC 9/3/22? Course he could.
