We have no idea what this country does to our psych and the eternal harmful effect
Do you know what it means for every dream you had growing up to become almost completely invalid as you grow older ?
The average Nigerian child wanted to become a Banker, Lawyer, Doctor, Pilot, Policeman growing up.
Only to start developing and you realize the chances of making it in these professions are like around just 10% ?
Let’s come to sport..
As someone into gymnastics, someone that knows how to swim, play tennis.. all those other sports besides *football.. What happens to all those talents God had placed in every individual in this nation ?
Imagine the nation having more impact on our lives even more than what God has in store for you.. Unless you want to tell me it’s in God’s plan to have this nation miserable(coz he knows everything that’d happen before they happen)
The nation is not even letting God’s work manifest in our lives but your religious leaders will tell you to ‘pray harder’, work for God and pay tithe
And when only 2% out of a congregation of 4 thousand people makes it big.. They do testimony and the church gives glory to almighty God lmao smh
I’m begging all of you.. As you grow older, mentally check so many things so you don’t go about thinking anomaly is normal.
Just yesterday, Alozie was talking about how visa issues for Nigerian Players made them pick her coz she was already in said country.. And brainless idiots in the comments were saying it’s God at work🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Don’t you guys see what this nation has done to our psych ? 😭
Sometimes I think about how much of life we postpone without actually deciding to postpone it.
The conversation we will have when things settle down. The visit we will make when work becomes less demanding. The version of ourselves we will finally become when we have enough money, enough time, enough certainty.
Nothing dramatic happens. We just keep moving the important things into a future we assume will be available to us.
Then years pass, people change, opportunities disappear, and some doors close without ever announcing that they were closing.
It's unsettling to realise that you can be genuinely busy building a life and still miss the experience of living it.
The older I get, the more this comes into focus. The smartest people I know love to talk and theorize. The most successful people I know have insane motion. They get things done. They connect people. They just do things without talking themselves out of it. Momentum is an unlock.
One of the stranger parts of being an adult is realizing how many people have never questioned a single belief they inherited. Not even out of curiosity.
I've been thinking about how differently we treat people once we no longer need anything from them. It's interesting because we rarely notice the change in ourselves. We just find new reasons to explain why the person we once valued doesn't seem so important anymore.
It's strange how much of our lives we spend trying to matter to people. We want to be remembered, appreciated, understood. Yet, when I think about it, even the people who once occupied our entire world eventually become names we rarely mention. I don't know whether that makes life meaningless or whether it should change what we consider important.
