@bedbug Looks like there was a temporary issue due to server clock synchronization. Things should be back up and running now- sorry about the connection issues. Please let us know if you're still having problems.
NetShade VPNs should be working again in ~20 minutes. The clock on one of our servers was slightly incorrect, and this was was causing certificate validation errors.
@bedbug Looks like it had to do with the internal clock on one of the servers being 20 minutes off. This problem should be fixed now, but it may take ~20 minutes to clear out the date discrepancies.
If NetShade for Mac has been down for you, please update to the latest version, 8.5.1. "Check for updatesโฆ" under the NetShade menu. New certificate chain in place.
Firespot was sending too many notifications over the past 24 hours or so. Had to do with the new Canada fires. It's been fixed now. https://t.co/GKSPjFndHY
@dannysbowers At the bottom of this page, you'll see the server status. This lists all our servers, and the countries in which they're located. https://t.co/emWnSyFpBv
The NetShade iOS issue is now fixed. Switched all our server certificates from LetsEncrypt to ZeroSSL. (It wasn't really LetsEncrypt's fault, but we had to change to get back up and running ASAP.)
NetShade VPN on iOS is not connecting, due to: https://t.co/NOfUaWikps
Looks like there's a bug in iOS. I've filed a bug report with Apple, but in the meantime I will work to switch all our server certs to something other than Let's Encrypt, to get it working again. Update soon.
@snkhan You should be able to, though this isnโt something weโve tested. Is your pihole on your regular NAT LAN? The NAT addresses should be routed normally when Hop is on.
@bedbug I will look at the free servers and see if somethingโs not right- they were working well for me before. The subscription will include Mac access when it becomes available.
