@JustBurner66325 @travismillerx13 Um. Noah has not even achieved 10 percent of what Bolt achieved at the Olympics and World Championships. Plus Bolt has the 100 and 200 records.
My poem, "Barrel Children," was featured in the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper today. The other poems are amazing too. (Thanks to Ann-Margaret Lim). https://t.co/fWidVRQxuH
@MyNrhindi I find it's important to take a break from writing and go live a little. That always helps. If not, I tend to write the same poems over and over again.
@Maegan_Poland Sorry that happened. As others have mentioned here, consider addressing it directly with the therapist. The therapist might be frustrated that you're not reaching your therapeutic goals and instead of addressing it directly, the therapist is using poor humor to do so.
Check out my poem, "Follow Me." It was a finalist for the Rattle Poetry Prize contest. It's probably the best poem I've ever written. https://t.co/V2HSYzFg5Z
@fabulistpappas Nearly 50 percent of land in the US is unoccupied. Nature owns a lot of land. It's just not fair to ask 30 million people to stop playing a sport that improves their quality of life significantly because it doesn't mean anything to you.
@fabulistpappas So it's better to clear trees for apartment and commercial buildings that displace animals and pollute the environment? At least animals can still roam on golf courses. Also, more golf courses are closed yearly than are being built. Then developers take over and build stores.
@fabulistpappas Golf improves the quality of life for millions of people in America. Kids play it too. It's less dangerous than other contact sports like football. And here's the thing: a lot of wild animals take over golf course at night. I have seen it. It's amazing.
@fabulistpappas 8 percent of people in the US play golf each year. That's 25-30 million people. That's a lot of people. It's not fair to tell people that a sport they love is not important. I meet a lot of older retired people who tell me that golf is saving their lives.
@fabulistpappas This unbalaced article says golf courses require pesticides to maintain them. Pesticide use is common across industries, even farmers use it on the food we eat. The article prefers land for golf courses be cleared for affordable housing, etc. And that's better for wild animals?
@fabulistpappas Also in cold states, most golf courses don't open in the winter months which means wild animals get to have most golf courses for themselves for almost half the year.
@fabulistpappas I understand what you're saying. To play golf is not expensive though. I pay $13 to play 9 holes at a public golf course near me. And most golf courses in the US are public courses and can be accessed by anyone--even for walking.
@fabulistpappas Try playing golf. It's fun and there are a lot of older people who play until they are 100. It helps folks exercise. And here is the amazing thing: golf courses are full of wild animals. Those golf courses would be the site of malls and apartments if they weren't golf courses
