“Winsford Community Centre And Masjid” want to turn the bar at 96 High Street, Winsford, into a “Muslim Community Centre” and “Masjid”.
High Street (the A54) is a busy shopping street, and vulnerable to parking issues.
This is an area with relatively few muslims, around 3% as of 2021. People have a right to preserve the character of their area.
This is another application that provides no car parking spaces.
I am asking you for donations toward the out-of-pocket expenses of the campaign to resist it. I’m asking for £2,000.

Opposing the vile imposition of halal meat is about far more than just the brutal method of slaughter. It’s about the principle of it.

The creeping normalisation of decisions being made for us, without our consent, to appease a Muslim minority at the expense of the majority.

Halal meat is prepared how it is prepared. Slitting the animal’s throat. Letting it bleed to death in the most unimaginable pain. That is a fact.

I want no part of that. I don’t want to eat it. I don’t want to support it. I don’t want to fund it. But what we are seeing, increasingly, is everyone being given no choice but to eat it - in universities like Newcastle, in schools and many other institutions across the country. Our children are being fed halal meat without even telling the parents. It is morally repugnant.

It says to British people: your preferences, your culture, your traditions - they do not matter.

You will eat what you are given, whether you like it or not, because someone, somewhere, has decided it is simpler or more ‘inclusive’ to force everyone to comply with one set of rules.

We all must be offended, so that Muslims are not.

No. This is Britain. We do things a certain way. If you don’t like it, live somewhere else. We treat our animals with care and respect. I am a farmer. It matters to me more than most.

When the animal's inevitable end comes, we want it to be as quick and painless as possible - not inflicting the most cruel and barbaric pain for certain religious reasons.

This is the same pattern we see across so much of public life. British traditions, customs, and ways of life are pushed aside quietly. One at a time, but relentlessly all the same.

This will keep happening until one day we wake up and realise that nothing familiar remains at all.
