@Wyi_Gaius What a coincidence!
Someone asked me this same question today and my reply was that, the starting point for me was trying to understand why the problems we face as a country in Nigeria seemed almost impossible to solve and what was causing those problems behind the scenes.
What do you think is the most misused word in 9ja?
I'll go first.
MALICE
.
.
.
What you call Malice is Stonewalling.
Refusal to talk to a person and cut off communication during conflict, or anger, is called STONEWALLING.
Malice simply means intention to commit harm.
Nobody is keeping malice with you. That phrase doesn't exist and doesn't make sense in English. The person is stonewalling you.
You could bring the truth on a silver platter, unwrap it bit by bit, detailing every fact for them and even shove it down their throat and Nigerians will still choose ignorance like it's an identity. Smh
Music shapes entire generations, and they don't even have to be aware while it's happening.
It's like Mohbad (Imole) said: "Music no need permission to enter your spirit. Anyhow anywhere you must to feel it."
Look at the impact of Olu Maintainโs "Yahooze" in 2007. It served as a massive cultural catalyst for the "Yahoo-Yahoo" epidemic we see today.
If a single song can shift the youth's moral ideology so drastically, imagine the geopolitical threat of a global icon doing the exact opposite.
That was Bob Marley. His reggae was the psychological spine of anti-colonial revolutions worldwide.
He sang "Rasta don't work for no CIA" because he knew his art directly threatened Western hegemony (aka Babylon ๐คฃ๐คฃ)โ which is precisely why knowledgeable insiders link the CIA to his 1976 assassination attempt.
Look at Fela Kuti. His Afrobeat was an outright declaration of war against neo-colonial puppets. To silence him, the local military government subjected him to over 200 arrests, burned his Kalakuta Republic to the ground, and murdered his mother. If a Nigerian regime used that level of raw military terrorism just to contain one man in Lagos, how hard do you think the global imperial apparatus will clamp down when an artist stands in the way of their entire global agenda?
This brings us to the ultimate end game: Geopolitics and demographic management.
By 2050, Africa will hold the fastest-growing youth population on earth. Nearly 1 out of every 4 people in the world will be African, and 1 out of 6 African will be Nigerian, with 1 out of every 25 random human on earth being Nigerian.
In the cold calculus of Western intelligence, a hyper-conscious, politically literate African youth population is an existential risk to Western hegemony and resource control.
More importantly, you must know that the mortal fear of the West is that if they fell out of power, others would do to them what they've done around the world for centuries.
So they figure that if a demographic giant wakes up to the frequency of Felas and Marleys, they will become completely ungovernable.
So how do you control a population that massive without deploying armies? You do it through the algorithm. You fund and amplify a modern, sanitized music industry that rewards escapism, hyper-individualism, and material wealth over consciousness.
By filtering out the revolutionary spark, the global imperial apparatus achieves ultimate containment and neutralization. They don't need to assassinate the prophets anymore ("how long shall they kill our prophets...?"); they just use music and entertainment to turn a potential revolutionary generation into completely redolent, bio-pliable 'fauna'.
"it's a system โ not a single event." Chai!๐ฅ
System thinking is the boss level of high-level planning.
My people are largely untrained in the art of system thinking, connecting multilevel dots and building pipelines.
And because they can't do it, they think others don't.
But someone once said:
"subversion is a slow, multi-decade process that relies entirely on letting the target destroy itself by exploiting its existing systemic flaws."
Remembered having a heated conversation with some persons about how there's a heavy influence in our culture ( already in the brink of extinction anyways), music, movies, food, education ( purposely underfunded), what about social media and news media, the biggest modern...

Nigeria has oil.
We extract the oil and sell it unprocessed to the west.
Te west refines it and sells it at an ungodly profit to Nigeria.
So costly that Nigerians can not afford to buy it and our govt now has to subsidize it for us. Billions of Naira yearly that could have gone into other projects.
Iran has oil, and fuel sells for under 50 cents per gallon.
How much does one liter cost in Nigeria?
If we have oil wells, the west looses an income stream.
I hope this helps
Me: The CIA is involved in many covert operations using unconventional means to spread soft power, control media narratives, hinder poorer countries development, engineer public opinion and in some cases oust world leaders
Nigerians: is the CIA why we don't have light?
It is said that, electricity is the bedrock of innovation.
You could think of alot of improvements and developments that would take place in this country if there's a reasonable and stable electricity supply but no, knowledge and basic reasoning is their sworn enemy.

Intellectual laziness. How much would it cost you to do your own research in an age of information?
By just analysing the tweet using AI, it will directly reference the specific events it alludes to.
But most of you are born naturally stupid; it seems your brains can't accommodate information and new data.
I'm the one who alluded to events without specific details because it wasn't relevant to the conversation.
You need the details?
It's your job to fact-check the premise, and with AIs, it is a lot simpler now, but you still chose laziness.
After deliberately choosing intellectual laziness, meaning you have sworn in a shrine that knowledge is your enemy, you have the effrontery to join public discourse.
@iamcomputer__ Typical Nigerian shit mentality...you all believe suffer and struggles solves everything and "prepares" people for the real world. This is why dysfunctionality has become the order of the day. Smh
