Hope we all remember this when we next vote and cast that vote on the basis of competency and trust. If you cast your vote because you are promised something that sounds too good to be true (eg £350m a wk, foreigners out, take back control) it probably is. #Dispatches#Newsnight
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on Lebanon:
Look at what is happening in Lebanon.
Today, more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon, beginning with those adjacent to the border, and beyond that, throughout the entire security zone up to the Yellow Line, an area of 700 square kilometers, are destroyed.
All the villages have been wiped out. Twenty-three thousand houses, all destroyed, demolished.
I am not even talking about what is underground, about the tunnels. Everything has been destroyed.
There are no residents there. Two hundred thousand residents are outside.
This is the Gaza model. And this is the model we are implementing.
This man urinated in his own grandson’s mouth after months of sexually abusing him.
But when he wasn’t doing that he was writing legislation addressing “antisemitism” and limiting your free speech.
These people should not have freedom, much less the ability to limit yours.
Pep Guardiola: “We are living through a very dark time in our history. We see girls and boys in Gaza searching for their parents among the rubble. Ask for help. Suffering from hunger. To be left alone. We watch them lose everything before they’ve even had a chance to grow up. And the hell continues, and with it, the dehumanisation of the Palestinian people. Their lives matter as much as ours. Their pain is not unfamiliar. Let’s not forget. Solidarity with Palestine cannot take a break. Neither can our responsibility…”

The good guys cut an income from 60 families despite a successful season and the bad guys invest money into their club.
The warped sense of morality that envelops the Premier League is jaw dropping outside the bubble.
Man City's cheating crushed Aston Villa's dreams. This is how an enormous financial black hole is still costing Unai Emery to this day - and the star names that would be playing for them if not for City's chicanery https://t.co/X253HWrr8V
