One of the new modes coming to EVERYWHERE once the platform is available again is something called “Grenade Football” ⚽️
It’s a 5v5 football mode where the ball is blasted and passed around using grenade launchers.
The gameplay I got to see looked surprisingly competitive, fast paced and honestly hilarious in the best way possible.
Could easily become one of the community’s favourite
Here's some screenshots ⤵️
One of the biggest questions from the community was whether the original vision for EVERYWHERE is still alive.
Custom avatars, Utropia, the districts...
I asked Leslie Benzies and Mark Gerhard directly about it ⤵️
Huge news for Build A Rocket Boy and MindsEye!
What's coming? ⤵️
- MULTIPLAYER RACES
Multiplayer is coming to ARCADIA. Multiplayer Races will let players compete head-to-head in competitive racing.
- ARCADIA Race Builder for Console and PC
Console players will be able to build their own single and multiplayer racing games.
- BLACKLISTED
Step into the role of Julia Black, a world-class assassin on a mission to Redrock City to eliminate two key targets. Working for Meridian, an agency under pressure from both outside forces and internal threats, every move carries risk. Infiltrate a criminal network, sabotage a deadly deal, and uncover the truth in a story driven by espionage, deception, and precision.
- MORE ARCADIA CONTENT
In addition, Console Players will soon be able to access the library of player-made games the PC community has already created. It is the first time this part of ARCADIA is available to everyone.
There is more coming in 2026 that BARB is not ready to talk about just yet. They will share things as they get closer.
Engines hot. Trajectory locked. Artemis II is away - first crewed lunar flyby in over 50 years. Four legends riding fire beyond low Earth orbit.
We launch rockets that shake the desert. Yesterday the real world answered back. Massive respect to the @NASAArtemis crew and @NASA.
I think it’s time to talk about a few things that the BARB Community isn’t happy about.
I’ll speak for myself, but I know many people will feel represented by this as well.
For years, we’ve supported Build A Rocket Boy in every way we could, through both the good times and the difficult ones. But we’ve reached a point where the lack of communication is starting to feel frustrating, and at times even disrespectful towards the community.
We understand that this isn’t an easy moment for the company. However, as of today, we still don’t have any clear information about EVERYWHERE. When the Builders Beta ended without prior notice, many of us lost access to hundreds of hours of creations. Projects we had put a lot of time and care into simply disappeared overnight.
We were told that those ARCs would return in MindsEye.
It’s now been 11 months, and they still haven’t come back.
We understand that challenges happen. We really do. But this is exactly why communication matters. The motivation to keep creating in MindsEye fades when the community is left in uncertainty about what’s going to happen.
Of course, we don’t expect full transparency. We understand the need to keep certain things under wraps and to build hype for major announcements. That’s completely fair. But right now, it feels like we’ve reached a point of total silence, where we simply don’t know anything.
The Community Team is fantastic, and we love them. They've done amazing, but now it feels like they aren’t being given the freedom to communicate openly, and that ultimately affects the entire community and the game(s) too.
There have been many mistakes along the way, and hopefully things can gradually move in a better direction. But a good starting point would be to listen to the community, even if it’s small, and engage with it more directly.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had something like a Community Corner, a blog post, or any kind of meaningful update. At this point, we don’t even know whether EVERYWHERE is still actively being developed or not.
We don’t even know if the EVERYWHERE Discord server will still be used in the future. As the person who built it and runs it, I think it’s fair to ask what comes next?
In a situation like this, it becomes very difficult to stay excited.
Mark or Leslie, if you're reading this, please give us a reason to keep believing in this.
Please, @buildarocketboy, @everywheregame (if you're still alive), @MindsEyeGame, @laughivore.
Build A Rocket Boy has announced layoffs at the studio following the difficult launch period of MindsEye.
The statement also confirms that legal action is being pursued after evidence of organised espionage and corporate sabotage affecting the game.
This is one of the most understated narrative pieces of content in #Mindseye I had a ton of fun directing the narrative development and performance. @VOKirk gave it all the soul and feel I could hope for in the VO session. Legend.
