Full screen bitmap from "X Marks The Spot", called "Death of Kraken". Done in a haste since I had just completed the diagonal multiscreen and the dealine for the demo compo was closing in fast. #c64#pixelart
@Goerp@FREEZE64UK This was totally hand drawn from the bottom up. Rough sketch in Timanthes3 with Wacom Intous4 and then refined with mouse. No Tac-2 joysticks were hurt during development.
Sorry, posted wrong version earlier. This one is marked as "final", so I guess this is the version that made it to the demo ("The Dive" by Genesis Project). Standard multicolour, with some border sprites added. #pixelart#c64
The latest, and hopefully last, multicolour multiscreen bitmap I've pixelled. Some hints at "25" and "X" in the image.. you'll figure it out. #c64#pixelart#multicolor#mcol Featured in "Memento Mori" by Genesis Project.
@Fzool64 Because it takes sooooo much/long time, and pretty much removes you from the creation process of the demo; While the group is working on a gazillion amazing things, you're still grinding those same pixels in the same bitmap.
@RaistlinGP Let them. The time it takes to complete is just too much for me. You kind of feel "left out" when you see the single screen bitmaps and effects progress over time; seeing the demo take form and look amazing, while you're still grinding the same bitmap you did a month ago.
@chrzx74 Since it wasn't for a gfx compo; no, nothing prepared. But I could probably put something together (would take a lot of time as it started as a sketch on paper, and the format has changed over time).
Ending the weekend pixel dump with another logo. Enjoy! #c64#pixelart#logo#gp#genesisproject See you next weekend for some more dumps from my old harddrives.
Another diagonally scrolled and tiled multiscreen image. Adequately named "X Marks The Spot". #c64#multicolor#mcol After this one I promised myself to never do a multiscreen image again.. but then Memento Mori happened.
