There’s a lot of truth in this statement.
A Press is a tool in the tool belt of a coach. It allows good athletes with limited skill to compete against more talented players.

However, over reliance on this strategy could come at the cost of players seeing the need to develop their overall skill set.

Run into a team that can move the ball effectively and next thing you know you’re getting blown out. The tactic that was both your defense and a large part of your offense is now a liability. You have to drop back into half court ‘D’. The game slows down and you don’t have the efficiency (because you’ve never needed it before) in your offensive sets to make a comeback.

Don’t be so critical. There is a lot of calculating still to be done. Alright, we need to figure out how many votes Karen Bass needs to win.
