In the early 2010's, our @RciTheming crew designed, fabricated and installed a replica limestone cave for the @MuseumofNature in Ottawa. Located within the Earth Gallery the limestone cave is a highly detailed exhibit that provides visitors with a fully immersive experience, educating them on different cave formations.

#TBT from 2005-2006, our @RciTheming crew, and our #SkeletonCrew came together to make these very unique pieces. The full skeletons of the Lambeosaurus and Albertosaurus were cast and by our skeleton crew and then our theming crew designed and created the fleshed-out skin to put over half of the dinosaurs, giving them a really amazing look and show both the life-like creature and the skeleton within These specimens were then shipped to go on display the San Diego Museum of Natural History in California where they were enjoyed by thousands.

In 2010 and 2011, our theming crew worked with the University of Waterloo to create a replica silver mine in one of their campus hallways. The exhibit is based on a mining tunnel in Cobalt, ON, a community where silver was discovered in 1903, and subsequently mined. RCI Theming staff travelled to Cobalt to take molds of the mine's interior rock walls, cast and finished replicas, and installed them in the hallway at the University of Waterloo. Here are some great before and after pictures of the themed hallway.

#TBT At the @AMNH in New York, our #ThemingCrew used their knowledge of rockwork and transformed the rocks into slate and marble, that now makes up the Sierra Nevada mountain range also known as the Kings Canyon.

#TBT In 2001, our #ThemingCrew was invited to China to take molds of a poem that was carved into the rock about 300 years ago. The carvings were located in an area that was to be flooded by the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River.

We're back! Happy 2024 to everyone. we hope that everyone has had a great start to the new year!!

#TBT To start the new year we wanted to look back at one of the worlds oldest, largest and best preserved examples of Ediacaran life forms, "Mistaken Point" Newfoundland 🇨🇦! We were contracted by @ROMtoronto and @GovNL to produce life size casts that precisely replicate the surface of the rock face, which presents 565-million year old Ediacaran fossils. Our #SkeletonCrew created molds of a 750 square foot (70 m2) area covering of one of the most spectacular and revealing fossil surfaces in the world. These are the largest reproductions of abundant Ediacaran fossils anywhere in the world and are intended for scientific and educational purposes. Check out these awesome photos from the project.
