@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch Anyone who wants to build a community would do the right thing and explain the viewbotting, its not a hard concept. No one is "forcing you" to do anything, but if you do nothing (including speaking out about it) then your activly OR ignorantly complicit.
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch 1.dont know why you keep making the assumption that im a child but okay.
2.its just common sence that if someone is viewbotting your stream, you inform your community that its happening. Benifiting from it and reaching twitch partner is either ignorance or proof.
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch the proof is how the streamer reacts.. like i said many times before, if the streamer wasnt the one paying for view bots then they would call that shit out. Months of viewbotting and pretending it didnt happen and claiming partner from it... imo thats proof right there
To add more context:
This person's view count has suddenly jumped up out of nowhere, without doing anything different.
A little while later, they claimed their Twitch badge.
Their views continue to jump all over the place, while having 100 live viewers and maybe 2 active chatters on a good day.
Not once have they ever addressed a botting issue or brought any attention to it whatsoever. You'd think they would, after months of this going on.
It wasn't just me that has been noticing these sudden changes on that particular account.
A person with actual integrity would not claim the partner badge like this. They would bring attention to a serious month-long botting issue instead of ignoring it. They would at least inform their actual viewers about it. Botting could start at any given time, why would it suddenly start only after the streamer themselves went AFK for some time?
People need to start thinking critically again. Of course I am aware somebody else could send those bots. But that is not even the only point of this post. If I contact Twitch support, I want an actual human looking into it, and not some stupid machine response after a minute of sending the report. I want someone to investigate certain patterns properly and be actually informative. No whatever this current shit show with those AI responses is.
And at the end of the day? If they can't do anything about view bots, maybe revert to how lurkers used to actually count and stop fucking everybody over. Right now, this is ridiculous, no matter how you look at it.
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch i agree, but how are you gonna prove guilty with twitch's faulty report system.. the REASON why this post was made in the first place??
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch Sssume whatever you want about me, but when someone viewbots, reguardless if they are in on it or not, im calling that shit out. Its a disgrace to real streamers and content creators, simple as that.
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch you know how they do stuff about it? by bringing attention to it. if they were innocent they would atleast be calling this out on socials to bring awareness to their actual viewers that someone else is botting them and also report the botting to twitch to handle
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch you do realise we bring attention so that it gets public and twitch actually investigates it.. i didnt realise bringing attention to something that was breaking ToS was such a radical idea.
@nuzzlespounces @EllyRedacted@Twitch if someone else was botting my stream id be calling out that shit on all my socials to bring attention to it instead of pretending it isnt happening.
