@jfarmer eXtreme Learning only works if there is delta in technical ability. So across the 1,000 hour program, half the time is spent growing non-techinical skills as the senior in the pair has to focus on communication, coaching, patience and other durable skills.
@jfarmer For any given sprint, we have basic, advanced and nightmare requirements. Pairs must clear the basic bar but for those with masters degrees in CS, the nightmare requirement keeps them engaged until the deadline.
4 years at the university + 4 months at another full-stack "up-skilling" program and nothing.
