I see a lot of people poking fun at @Bluntz_Capital and his EWT on the TL currently.

I believe this is extremely misplaced. I keep notes on all big CT accounts and the results when I tail or fade a posted trade. Bluntz is consistently one of the best accounts.

I actually usually believe almost zero in TA and TA-based influencers, but I take his opinions very seriously.

1) Bluntz is objectively an extremely good trader.

On ByBit copytrading account leaderboard, he is rank 1 in 90d ROI. His copytrading account has been consistently at the top of leaderboards over 2 years. It's up some absurd multiple since inception.

There is no way to fake or larp this whatsoever. Many other supposedly top traders have busto'd a copy trading account.

2) Bluntz posts a lot of trades.

Is he always right? Hell no. With that volume, you will be able to find many instances where he is quite publicly wrong. It's impossible for anyone in his position posting his volume of trades to be right 100% of the time.

Despite that, I would guess he has one of the best hit rates out of any big account on the time frames he trades, as you can also find some big wins out of his contrarian opinions.

3) Bluntz actually has a very bullish bias most of the time.

In my notes, I've only gotten burned tailing his bullish trades, either by believing a price target that's too high or not using proper risk management in case the thesis was wrong.

On the other hand, I've gotten burned fading his bearish trades a couple of times, most recently on the HYPE drawdown to 20. As a result, currently I take his bearish takes very seriously.

4) Elliott wave is not pure mumbo jumbo. This was quite hard for me to believe at first, as a general hater of TA, but here's how I've rationalized the relative success of it:

just like the 4 year cycle, seasonality, just like echo bubbles, bull traps, etc. there are certain fractals that tend to occur due to the psychology of collective behavior. Elliott wave theory is one common fractal that occurs in bubbles and mini bubbles and it does capture something about that psychology.

It won't always describe the runup 100% of the time, but it's a fractal that occurs surprisingly often.

5) Bluntz is not a purely technical trader either, although most of his posts emphasize technical setups. If you read between the lines of his posts over a prolonged period of time, fundamentals and sentiment do factor heavily into how he trades and he is quite good at identifying these.

Believed in him way to late but still made good profits. Recommended a few friends that his one of the best💪🏾🚀 You don’t need to be always right! >50%
