‘Jay Blade’s Effect’ Boosts Sign-Ups to Adult Literary Programme 💛

Just over a year ago, BBC aired a documentary about the about the much loved host of repair shop, Jay Blades. Despite being a social media star, he concealed his inability to read until he was in his 30s.

He charted his experience of learning to read as an adult on TV, using Read Easy’s 1-1 coaching programme.

Read Easy UK have reported a record 104% increase in sign ups to its adult reading programme in 2022 and the charity also saw a surge in interest from new volunteers
