A Fond Farewell to Our First Love, Lady Celia

As Lady Celia enters a well-earned retirement, we want to take a moment to reflect on just how much she has meant to us — not just as a racehorse, but as the heart and soul of The Jocks and The Geordies partnership.

Lady Celia was our very first horse, and what a way to start the journey. She brought joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories to everyone involved. From the thrill of watching her thunder down the track to the quiet, freezing nights driving home in the dark — every moment was worth it, just to see her run.

She wasn’t just a horse; she was the glue that brought people together, forming friendships up and down the country. She always gave her all on the track — a true trier, always running for her owners, and setting a standard that will be tough for any of our future horses to match.

Her trainer, Alan Brown, his son Matthew and his fantastic stable staff have been incredible — giving Lady Celia a life filled with care, kindness, and opportunity. We are deeply grateful for everything they’ve done.

As she moves on to her next chapter, we send Lady Celia off with full hearts. She’ll always be our first, our benchmark, and our pride.

Thank you, Lady Celia, for everything.
