Lately when I think of friendships lost, I don't feel as bitter as before.
Instead, there's a quiet realization I'm happier than the me they knew & their absence gave me the space I needed to become more myself.
It took some time to get there, but I'm grateful.
@sddonovan I've bought 3 print ones under 40 pages this year, but I'm not sure about 5 π but even the option to pay .99$ for a permanent ebook copy would be nice
@tigesttypes Hello hello π₯° I'm also looking to make writer friends! I'm Jules & write dark queer fantasy. I LOVE the sounds of your story, I would pick that up so fast from a shelf.
@DeraLuce I keep a pile of books I'm currently reading near my bed (stuff that is easier to put down, like non-fiction & short story anthologies) & I keep my kindle nearby with all sorts of fiction/fantasy, for nights where I don't want/need to go back to sleep.
Camp NaNo is going smoothlyπI'm so glad my writing group reminded me about it! I'll be meeting my (self-imposed) deadlines sooner than expected. 25k words written so far in April (92k words in total for the series, which I began writing in Sept 2022) #amwritingfantasy
@Wiswell I love this π I use "queer" to describe myself as a non-binary, pansexual person. It confuses my family a little, but I always felt it was more inclusive. I started using "queer" instead of "LGBT+" when tagging books & it feels better to me.
