@Jacket_Spangler@drop_kicker@Freespeech212@RichardHanania Yes, we disagree that it was a coup attempt. They were walking through velvet ropes. And do you know what they were voting on when the breach happened?
The last president to respect the constitution was Coolidge.
We disagree....again. That said, even though you think I'm crazy, you seem like a good dude. Always have. If you ever get time, check out a lecture or two from David Friedman. I can recommend a ton more people, but at the very least you'll be able see some sides of issues a littler clearer. Doesn't mean you'll end up agreeing w/ them, it just means you'll hear things you probably haven't considered before.
None of us are gods, so there are always things we hadn't considered before.
Here, we have California's "high speed rail", which they've spent billions on and nothing has been done. But here in Florida, private funding built the Bright Line railway in no time flat.
So, if trains are going there, they aren't profitable, correct? You want the government to waste money on it?
This is why I asked if you ever listened to lectures from people on "my side". David Friedman, along w/ many others, have done a ton of research and work on this. Friedman doesn't mention it much, but the ancient Irish were under what's called the "Brehon Law". Basically a private law system. They were an unbelievably peaceful society that lasted for about 1,000 years.
The most likely dispute resolution system if we privatized everything would be through insurance and reputational destruction.
Again, nope. You can look at my post history in here and look up my posts to Michael Rectenwald. First person I've ever donated money to for a political campaign. But, he lost the nod in the LP, so it was either Trump or Kamala. No way I was voting for open borders, DEI, more social welfare, more retards on the SCOTUS.
@Jacket_Spangler@drop_kicker@Freespeech212@RichardHanania How do we not get it? We understand it PERFECTLY. In fact, it's the root of our views. If humans are flawed, why in the world would you support a system that gives the worst of the worst of those kinds of people a monopoly on power?
@Jacket_Spangler@drop_kicker@Freespeech212@RichardHanania Let me ask you this; Have you ever read articles or listened to lectures from people w/ my POV?
The reason I ask is how can you know your views are as informed as possible when you don't know all the arguments, inside and out, against your beliefs?
@drop_kicker@Jacket_Spangler@Freespeech212@RichardHanania Slavery, huh? I don't believe I have a right to the fruits of anyone's labor. No Leftist on the planet can claim that. You still support taking other people's labor, just by different means.
Yes, I've read The Creature from Jekyll Island.
And look up those panics. How many banks actually failed? Now, because of the fed reserve, which you clearly support, you HAVE to put your money at risk in the stock market, those cronies you seem to not trust at all, in order to actually see returns on your savings, because you cannot just keep it in a regular savings account. It will get eroded by inflation, which we DIDN'T have much of at all before the fed reserve came along.
Maybe it's time you read some history, bud.
@drop_kicker@Jacket_Spangler@Freespeech212@RichardHanania I own a small business. I used to manage TWO offices for a giant pest control company as well. I had to fire plenty of people. Didn't want to, but if they are hurting the bottom line, what do you want me to do? Keep them and get run out of business?
