相比尾部采样，它能节约 60% 内存，考虑到现在内（金）存（子）的天价，应该或多或少有点意义 :)

This talk is about estimating cardinality in flight, while the metrics are still streaming in. The estimator runs as a separate pipeline alongside the storage, not inside it. A small estimator maintains a HyperLogLog sketch for each label dimension and publishes the results as standard metrics in the Prometheus exposition format. It receives data over remote-write and is scraped like any other target. There are no queries against storage, no new query language to learn, and nothing tied to a specific vendor, so any Prometheus-compatible setup can use it.

I seldom code with AI, but ask it to check source code when answering questions. I want AI to verify my answers, or when I don’t know where to start so ask for clues. Claude shows $1.5–3 for each Q. Probably the 1st time quantified the cost of answers.🫤

@XPhone18Pro 还很流畅，是 M1 14 寸 MBP，没有 Touch Bar，有的应该是 13 寸。主要是不想浪费 AC

时至 2026 年了我还在用 M1 的 Macbook Pro，也是 AC 的最后几个月，想了很久要不要换，不过 Mac 已经涨价了，其次也没有什么卡顿，最后决定还是不换，立省几千块钱，打算把这台用到苹果配件断供（有人知道要多久吗？5 年？）。好在 VictoriaMetrics 编译起来很快，要是换个 Java 商城估计都换了几台了

@angeloTheGopher The multi threaded performance is significant better when running with Dockers and couple (20+?) containers on PC. They have 32G while my laptop has 16. I never try VictoriaMetrics with heavy workload on both.

@angeloTheGopher I do everything locally. The network condition here is annoying: I don't have a public IP, so connecting via SSH requires extra tricks, and I don't want to bother with that.

@xu_paco 3kg 已经挺多的了，我运动量比较大而且现在饮食很严格（仅针对碳水，其他会正常吃），你这个速度如果饮食是正确的话其实对身体更友好 :)

最近受困于血糖升高，可能是之前吃得不太控制，特别沮丧难过，改变饮食习惯的时候餐间还容易肚子饿。最沮丧的莫过于本来就已经减重并且长期呆在健身房了，还是得了这个毛病... 网友们一定要管住嘴多吃点健康的，少吃零食和加餐和饮料 QAQ 😭 已经焦虑到影响工作生活了
