Read had the pleasure of attending @selby_rufc Mini’s Festival this morning.
We loved having the opportunity to watch so many talented children play within local clubs - with many players being pupils from Read themselves.
Thank you Selby R.U.F.C for hosting a wonderful day!
Congratulations to one of our brightest young stars, fourteen year old Tyla Champagnie, who is through to the semi-finals of Yorkshire's Greatest Talent.
We are incredibly proud of Tyla, and hope you enjoy the reel of her YGT performance below.

Year 7 loved finding their bearings outside in Maths on Friday! Pupils were able to draw diagrams on the quad to show the bearing of one school location from another. Pupils had just learnt the key principles of measuring bearings and loved putting them to use outside.
Read School, Drax would like to express its most sincere and heartfelt thanks to the 32 companies who joined us at our Careers Fair on Wednesday.

The Joker and Wednesday Addams looked worryingly at home in our tranquil grounds… but when we have dastardly pirates teaching in UJS, perhaps it is to be expected…

It can be a bit of a “Squash and Squeeze” to pack even more excitement into World Book Day, but we certainly managed it in LJS today.
Our youngest Read-ers enjoyed a magical day embracing many of Julia Donaldson’s most loved characters.

Pupils deserve a well-earned break. A beautiful moment was Yr6 playing Jingle Bells on handbells donated by The Selby Bellringers. Here’s their superb efforts alongside photos of many festive activities at Read. It’s lovely to reflect on wonderful Read life! #topschool#educate
It’s super to spend time with loved ones eating, drinking & making merry. Tired Read parents, with leftovers, put your feet up because Read pupils are whizzes in the kitchen. End of term saw butter biscuits, duck with noodles & hand-plucked pheasants from Food Prep #lifeskills 🍽
