@missbiddleteach @PieCorbett@MichaelRosenYes@PiersTorday@_Reading_Rocks_@whatSFSaid@followtheyellow @MaryAliceEvans Yes I second Piers on the book being technology. There’s a school of thought which is under the impression that technology is only anything electronic but actually it’s anything we use to achieve an outcome: pencils, rulers, pins, paper, and books too.
@digressica Jessica, your workrate is off the charts. I hope you’re taking good care of yourself as well as creating this amazing series. It’s a lot of work. Can’t wait to read it.
A wonderful essay by #KatherineRundell, reminding us all of the power of children’s stories to reteach us that:
“hope counts for something.. that bravery will matter, wit will matter, empathy will matter, love will matter”
We need these stories now more than ever.
Today Reader’s Quest students at Brunswick North West Primary School were thrilled to have the chance to talk to Bren MacDibble, author of the wonderful and unique RQ novel, How to Bee. Bren, thank you for your generosity, wisdom and creativity. Students loved the experience.
"Fiction is the lie that tells us the truth. We all have an obligation to daydream. We have an obligation to imagine."
Words we live by from @neilhimself and @chrisriddell50 as we celebrate #LibrariesWeek.

Here are the shortlisted books of Readers Quest 2019.
These were voted on by students in grades 3 and 4 as the books they'd most like to read. This was based on reading their blurbs and of course, their intriguing covers.
