I have a confession: I’m not always the best at this social media thing. 🤔

I love sharing updates, talking with readers, and connecting with other writers. But then I start writing, and everything else around me seems to disappear. I’m no longer in 2026 sitting at my desk. I’m somewhere else entirely.

1978. ⌛

I get lost in the on the streets, the sounds, the news, the culture, and the issues of the time. I dig into the details because my characters don’t just live in a mystery. They live in a world. They have memories, fears, flaws, and secrets that are shaped by the years they inhabit.

That’s where I’ve been lately: chasing a story, following my characters, and trying to get every detail right.

Right now, I’m 38,000 words into the third Frank Leland mystery, bringing 1978 back to life one page at a time.

So, if I seem to disappear for a while, 🫥 no need to put my face on posters or milk cartons. I’m probably somewhere on the mean streets of New York in 1978, chasing down clues and trying to keep up with Frank Leland. 📚
