Truth: The relationships among the adults within a school have a significant & far-reaching impact on the quality & overall success of the school.

[David Geurin @DavidGeurin]

Relationships are so important in education. Why? Because they make us feel supported and connected. But also because they challenge us and reveal to us new ways of thinking. Relationships matter for our growth and development. #edchat #sunchat

It’s good for teachers to realize that their students have some heavy stuff that they’re dealing with at home...and it’s good for administrators to realize that their teachers have some heavy stuff that they’re dealing with at home too.

The top two things most people complain about:

1. The way things are.
2. Change.

If you're complaining you're not leading. Leaders don't complain. They share a vision. They inspire with optimism. They focus on solutions.

EDUCATION:

Few careers ask more of its professionals

Few processes ask more of the product.

No sector has so many “experts” making decisions external to the work.

Few industries invest so little with so many expectations.

For the more passive individuals I would go so far as to say... you ARE what you repeatedly ACCEPT..

[Emily Muccianti @ReadingDiva06]

You ARE what you repeatedly DO.... wise words.

Principals don’t need all their teachers to be innovative… but they need all of them to be team players, to love kids, and to stay positive.

Defend kids, not broken policy.
