It’s not hard locked into fighting game like Dragonball for example.

@Rosemarry__vt Monster Hunter 3 remember loving cutscenes/getting jumpscared by water serpent/many unique map elements. Star Fox 64 beat it as a 4 yr old with game set to Japanese. Lastly Aidyn Chronicles, though theres surely better rpgs the sound/music design and story had me in a chokehold.

@xexelias @untitled7549t This is actually a good tonal flip since it’s not expected by chars in or out of the story but it also usually means the loyal person will get royally fucked over which lands emotionally.

I think Jackie Brown is a good example of a pair of loyal chars in a crime drama.

@C_o_nd @OgHumanTripod Luffy’s was setup+great payoff of him getting diffed, I would argue the trio attack wasn’t a cliff hanger unless you force it to be…I feel like people are trying WAY too hard to make this moment be “Sukuna 2.0 new ally shows up every chapter” when that’s just not the format.

@SlightlyAni How does one think they can simply walk into a God of Destruction when there’s a Frieza on the enemy team….especially when everyone knows late game a team kill is almost the only way to get Tower dmg.
