✨ Celestina del Sol came to Richland Elementary! ✨

January 29th - February 3rd, our campus hosted Celestina del Sol, a mobile arts studio transformed from a retired school bus into a space of wonder and imagination. Led by community artists, students engaged in creative experiences like choral singing, storytelling, and live performance, all designed to spark curiosity and joy.

Through these sessions, students built confidence and resiliency, strengthened community with their peers, discovered a sense of purpose, and amplified their voices through creative expression.

Celestina del Sol is powered by OutLoud, a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting youth voice and celebrating young people as artists, storytellers, and changemakers.

✨ All aboard the Polar Express! ✨ Our annual RLE Polar Express Literacy Night was a HUGE success, and we are glowing from all the joy, reading, and holiday magic shared tonight! A massive shout-out to our incredible CRS’s, Ms. Green & Ms. Thomas, for organizing such an unforgettable event! They truly brought the spirit of the season to life!

A special thank you to Mosaic Church for volunteering and generously donating all of the hot chocolate, we are so grateful for your support and partnership! ☕️

And of course, THANK YOU to all of our amazing families and students who bundled up and joined us! We had such an incredible turnout, and your energy made the night one to remember!

Farm fun in Kindergarten! 🐓🌽 Kindergarten is studying their farm unit! Mrs. Wilden from 5th grade even brought in her chickens to school, shared awesome chicken facts, students made chicken puppets, AND they got to “milk a cow!” What an udderly amazing week! 🐄✨ Thank you to the incredible Kindergarten teachers for making this an experience these littles will never forget! 🤩 @billgattus @RichardsonISD

In November, neighborhood realtor Jeana Vasquez spoiled us with a homemade BBQ feast, and today Credit Union of Texas rolled up with a food truck serving burgers & hotdogs! 🌭🍔
