It’s staggered as the whole idea of the competition is that all competitors are to ‘finish at the same time’ regardless of their natural abilities. This challenges all to perform their best on the day, and is the same as horses with weights.

Thing we're tinkering with at Hampton: net worth reveals.

At my next core group meeting I have to reveal my net worth, income, expenses, goals, explain why i have that goal, thoughts i have on money.

why:

most people NEVER discuss their net worth w/ buds. many don't even talk to spouse about it.

because of this, few actually think

- what are my goals?
- am i on track or no? what do i need to do to hit them?
- why am i even trying to hit these goals?

I think money should be a tool to live a good life.

But most folks don't spend the time actually reflecting on that stuff.

And I hope these discussions are forcing functions to reflect.

My questions to you all:

1. should we roll this out and ask all hampton members do this? should we even make 'em start doing it within the first few meetings (maybe helps bonding) and make it mandatory?

2. after my presentation tomorrow, i'll hide some of the numbers and, if you want my deck template so you can have this convo with your buds (i know, sounds weird, but trust me its useful)
