This is a crucially important issue, and it’s not just Congress that is not representative anymore.

Over 10 million Michiganders are represented by only 110 state house members and 38 senators.

The House has been capped at 435 members since 1929, and the population has grown by over 200 million, meaning that no American, regardless of color, is adequately represented.

We fundamentally reject this. Michigan values are family, community, faith and love.

We want GOP candidates less interested in rage and more interested in jobs of the future.

US manufacturing employment continues to decline:

The US economy lost -6,000 manufacturing jobs in September, marking the 5th consecutive monthly contraction.

During this period, manufacturing jobs have dropped -58,000, to 12.71 million, the lowest since March 2022.

Since the start of 2024, manufacturing jobs have seen 12 monthly declines.

Overall, manufacturing jobs have fallen -194,000 since the February 2023 peak.

Meanwhile, transportation and warehousing employment plunged -25,000 in September, to 6.71 million, the lowest since November 2024.

Industrial sectors are under pressure.

Yes! We need to encourage good and decent Michiganders across the conservative and center right spectrum to get out and vote in Michigan’s GOP primary elections.

If we want a saner politics, we need two sane parties. Right now we have zero!

Incrementalism within the two parties is the best political strategy if you want to better serve the country politically.

Yup. Free trade has built our standard of life in modern society, protectionism threatens to sink all of our futures.

Particularly the non wealthy.

61% of US adults own stocks, including 51% of those earning between $30K and $75K, and a quarter of those earning less than $30K.

Not to mention 401ks.

Reaganites like Ron DeSantis’s leadership. He is bold + proactive in crisis. He is firmly conservative and pragmatically prudent.

@Unfilteredboss1 makes a good point. We need principled leadership as a party in this moment.

I am confident DeSantis could be that if he chooses.

Ron DeSantis wants to inherit the Maga base so badly that he's choosing to stay silent when he could become a voice of reason in the Republican party by speaking out against all of the Trump insanity.

Yes he will get bludgeoed in the short term but in the long term it would give him more credibility.

Who knows, maybe he doesn't want to ever run for President again but if he does, he needs to be a leader in a time of crisis the same way he was in 2022 when he became a national figure by leading the charge against Covid Tyranny.

This has been my one gripe against him, his failure to hit Trump hard in the primary and now his silence while Trump betrays conservative governance, breaks his promises, continues to spend like a Democrat, and now this sabotaging of the stock market and economy.

If Republicans want to avoid getting absolutely obliterated in 2026, and beyond, there need to be Republicans who are not afraid to speak out against Trump.
