My good friend Sybille helps disabled dogs here on the island. She’s a surgeon for humans and she rehabs them and provides care in her own spare time.

Hot take? Dogs (& other pets/animals) are a privilege and a commitment, not a right. If you cannot provide an animal with adequate TIME, care, training, vet visits, and attention, you do not deserve the animal. If you do not plan on keeping a dog or cat etc forever, don’t get it.
