Barrister Aloy Ejimakor Deserves A Medal For Numerous Court Victories For IPOB And Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
By Biafra Vanguard, 05:06:26
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor is generally regarded as a competent human rights/constitutional lawyer.
A Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB since March 2019. As Special counsel he handles international advocacy, not just domestic court work. From Umuahia to the UN, he made sure our voice wasnโt buried under procedure or propaganda.
Aloy chose the hard briefs. He took the protests, the prison remand, the headlines and still showed up to court prepared. Thatโs not just competence. Thatโs loyalty to justice. For his intellect, his courage, and his refusal to trade principle for convenience thank you Sir. A trusted lawyer defends a client. You defended a cause and still defending.
Here are some of his major wins :
(1) January 2022: Abia State High Court, Umuahia Fundamental rights case over the Sept 2017 military invasion of Kanuโs ancestral home. It was the first victory that declared that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not jump bail.
(2) October 2022: The Federal High Court, Umuahia Division, which was the first high court declaration that Nnamdi is a victim of Extraordinary Rendition.
(3) October 2023: State High Court, Enugu which declared the 2017 proscription of IPOB as a terrorist group as unconstitutional, also declared that self determination is not a crime.
(4) March 2018: African Union Commission on Human and Peoplesโ Rights, rendered a Decision that the arrest/trial of Nnamdi Kanu/IPOB members and the proscription of IPOB are violations of African Charter.
(5) 2017โ2018 United Nations Decision: United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Detentions, which ruled against Nigeriaโs mistreatment of IPOB and Python Dance.
(6) October 2022: Court of Appeal "Discharged Judgement" for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Remember it was based on his Extraordinary Rendition. This was the idea of Barrister Ejimakor, he wrote the argument on the Extraordinary Rendition which was the sole basis of that Victory.
(7) 2nd July 2022: United Nations Human Rights Council: Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Bruce Fein in securing the extraordinary rendition victory which directed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu be released and compensated.
(8) In October 2022: United Nations Special Rapporteur Reports which made additional findings that MNK is a victim of arbitrary detention and extraordinary rendition. Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Prof Rachel Murray (based in UK), Kanunta and Solomon Egbo.
(9) May 2021: Another United Nations Special Rapporteur Decision that declared the proscription of IPOB as a discrimination against Igbo people and therefore a violation of United Nations charter which Nigeria signed. Barrister Ejimakor worked with Prof Rachel Murray (based in UK), Kanunta and Solomon Egbo.
(10) June 2025: Kenya High Court, in which Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Prof. P.L.O. Lumumba and Kanunta/FineBoy to secure the victory declaring MNKโs abduction and forcible rendition unlawful/unconstitutional and awarded damages.
These Decisions are used around the world as evidence that has resulted in granting asylum/resident status to thousands of IPOB members in many foreign countries.
In October 2025, Aloy Ejimakor was in the streets protesting the unlawful Life sentence on Kanu, he was arrested, detained and charged; and is now facing trial.
In summary, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has proved himself a trusted counsel to his client Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the global IPOB family in all honesty and it is expected that every IPOB member, especially those who have benefited from his sweats in seeking and achieving Asylum, must accord him maximum respect.

PRESS BRIEFING FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 31st March 2026
OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL WORLDWIDE CONDEMNS THREATS AGAINST BARRISTER ALOY EJIMAKOR BY A SELF-ACCLAIMED AREWA YOUTH LEADER
Following the Gen. Gowon's book launch and the reaction of Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), regarding the calculated lies by Gen. Yakuku Gowon, the Nigerian head of state who led the 1967-1970 genocide against Biafrans, resulting in the death of 4.3 million Igbos.
Regarding the above, the attention of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the apex sociocultural youth organization of the Igbo Race Worldwide, has been drawn to a viral video circulating on social media, featuring an individual identifying himself as "Danbature" and claiming to be the President of Arewa Youths, in which he issues unwarranted and dangerous threats against Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
This antagonism arises from Barrister Ejimakor's legitimate, historical critiques of statements made by General Yakubu Gowon in his recent book regarding Biafra, the Aburi Accord, and General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
As the apex sociopolitical youth organization of the Igbo Race Worldwide, we strongly deplore this reckless endeavor to intimidate and silence a citizen for exercising his fundamental right to free speech and intellectual dissent. History is not a static entity, and historical texts will always be subject to rigorous examination, debate, and criticism.
Furthermore, we have substantial doubts about the authenticity of Danbature as the true leader of the Arewa Youth organization, as his media outing is poorly scripted and a mockery to Arewa Youths if he is indeed the Arewa Youth leader. The established and respected tradition of the Arewa Youth leadership relies on formal, official press statements to communicate their positions on national discourse. Resorting to a privately shot, amateur video to launch personal threats suggests that this individual is a rogue actor rather than a legitimate representative of northern youth.
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor's viewpoint and response to Gen. Yakuku Gowon's falsehoods in his book about Abure Accord reflect the viewpoint of Igbo Youths and Ndigbo at large. Consequently, this serves as a clear and unequivocal warning to Danbature and his cohorts to cease and desist from any malevolent designs, plots, or actions against Barrister Aloy Ejimakor.
We categorically state, without fear of reprisal, that any attempt to harm or harass Barrister Ejimakor will be met with severe and far-reaching consequences from Igbo Youths worldwide.
The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) will not be complacent and see any of its leaders or professionals like Barrister Aloy Ejimakor being intimidated for speaking historical truth to power. We urge those responsible for this video to retract their threats and engage in civil, intellectual debate rather than resorting to thuggery and intimidation.
Signed
Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka
National President General Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC).

How the ghost of Aburi came back to haunt Nigeria.
By ALOY EJIMAKOR
Over half a century after the repudiation of #Aburi plunged the rest of Nigeria into an unnecessary war against the East, the script has flipped in painful ways for Nigeria as a whole, especially in the Christian Middle Belt.
In Plateau State, communities in Gowonโs home region have seen hundreds of thousands displaced by sheer terror, with reports of villages renamed and religious sites altered. Even America, a foreign power, is alarmed enough to weigh-in with muscular military intervention.
In Taraba, Danjuma, who was involved in the 1966 coup against General Ironsi, has publicly urged his people to defend themselves, describing the killings as genocide and accusing elements of the Nigerian military - that he once led - of complicity.
Danjumaโs ominous warning: โIf you depend on the Armed Forces to protect you, you will all dieโ, reflects the deep frustrations (or even regrets) of a man who had fought against Aburi. And his sentiments and fears reflect what had propelled Ojukwuโs stance on Aburi, but he was roundly demonized as a secessionist and baited into a war of attrition against the East. As a digression, it is the same demonizing that watered the ground for the infamous life imprisonment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The deeper lesson of todayโs harsh verdict of history is structural and stark. A centralized federal security architecture, when captured by narrow interests or weakened by vicious ethnic politics, often fails to protect vulnerable communities. This was most self-evident during the Buhari regime, with its vestiges still remaining to this day. The State-actor complicity Danjuma lamented mirrors the 1966 massacres that had traumatized the East in 1967. Today, groups like the Berom, Angas, Jukun and other North Central Christian minorities are at the receiving end and it is not letting up.
Had the Aburi Accord been fully implemented, regions might have had the constitutional tools to secure their people. Instead, the resort to a utopian unity has produced a State where violence once directed against the East in 1967 has now spread to the very people that had fought against Aburi. Ironic.
The violence has even reached parts of the Southwest with an alarming upsurge that prompted figures like Sunday Igboho to start demanding the formation of a regional security network to defend the Southwest. This is precisely what Aburi offered in 1967, even before Igboho was borne.
The ghost of Aburi confirms the saying that historyโs harsh verdict grows clearer with time: Aburi was not an act of secession, but a pragmatic attempt to manage deep divisions through decentralization. Therefore, rejecting it did not strengthen Nigeria; it entrenched the very pathologies that now threaten every region, mostly in the North which did the most to reject Aburi.
As it stands today, it is not open to argument that Nigeria did not become a better or safer nation by rejecting the Aburi Accord. It did not even achieve the vaunted unity that cost millions of lives. It simply became a country where the very ethnic-driven violence Ojukwu had tried to forestall eventually came for everyone else, now affecting to the greatest degree those that had fought tenaciously against Aburi.
So, all considered, history has rendered its verdict, and that is: Aburi was right and beyond reproach. And Ojukwu was the Nostradamus that saw the tomorrow of Nigeria, and that tomorrow is here.

THE SOKOTO DECLARATION
Principles for the Deliverance of the People
โ โ โ
I.
Every soul on this land bears the image of God โ and with it, the right to life, to liberty, and to a future of its own choosing.
II.
The displaced shall come home. Until every exile stands again on the soil of their fathers, nothing else is finished.
III.
Government draws its legitimacy from the consent of the governed. A regime that arms the killers, buries the camps, and pays foreign hands to hide the graves has forfeited the right to rule.
IV.
Self-determination is not a crime. Not for Biafra. Not for Yoruba. Not for the Middle Belt. Not for the minorities of the North. Not for any people told by force what flag they must answer to. A free vote is not violence. Speaking truth is not terrorism.
V.
No ideology that demands death for words, death for faith, or death for tribe holds any claim upon the future of this land.
VI.
The wealth beneath this ground belongs to the people who walk upon it. Every barrel drawn under cover of massacre is theft. Every dollar fled to foreign vaults while children starve is theft.
VII.
No one is coming to save us. Power is never given. It is built. It is taken. To wait for rescue is the habit of a chained mind.
VIII.
Peace is not passivity. Peace is strength under restraint. Every people holds the God-given right to defend its life and its families โ with overwhelming lethal force, should the hour demand it. We reject unjust aggression. We reject the revenge that poisons every cause it enters.
IX.
How we fight shall determine what we build. No true freedom has ever been won with unjust hands. There is a line between defending the living and becoming what we oppose. Know it. Walk it. Hold it.
X.
Unity, or ruin. Every faction set against another faction does the work of the Darkness. The hour is too late, the cost too high, the cause too great for division.
XI.
Resistance shall be coordinated, disciplined, unrelenting. In the streets. At the ballot box. In every courtroom that will hear the evidence. In every church too long silent. Online and on the ground. Darkness rules by our silence and our fear. We withdraw both.
XII.
The regime that loots this land must be dismantled โ by the peaceful and sovereign will of the people, by lawful and democratic means, and by an internationally supervised referendum for a new constitution and a true self-determination.
XIII.
The world stands with the people of this land, or it stands aside. We will not wait. And we will remember.
XIV.
History is not kind to those who choose the wrong side of it. Pharaohs do not win in the end. They never have.
XV.
The cause is life. The cause is liberty. The cause is the right of every human being on this land to live in peace in the home of their fathers โ to worship freely, to vote freely, to build freely.
โ โ โ
The long night is ending. Let us stand together.
May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob โ
who delivered Israel from Pharaoh โ
grant us wisdom and courage to deliver His people once again.
God bless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
God bless Biafra.
Thank you so much @MikeArnoldTruth .
