life can be so cruel.
it’s profound how humans have the ability to feel connected to strangers through the joy of shared memories. thank you for all of the beautiful memories, brandon. memphis will never forget you.
@markocantdunk I hate to defend Silver, but you stated the problem then said the problem doesn’t exist. Choosing to be bad should never be correct. Probably not perfectly solvable, but it is a problem.
@djdotmp4 In the current lottery system, only the top 4 picks are decided by lottery balls then the rest get sorted by record. In your sim it looks like you have every pick decided by lottery balls. Is that an error or did the new memo say they would be doing it that way?
@statcenter I haven’t heard an argument against @fastbreakbreak’s idea of lottery odds being sorted by number of wins against teams with a better record than your own. Seems like it would disincentivize tanking while maintaining league balance

It’s almost unfathomable that this was the final line in “The Many Live of Lane Kiffin”
“I feel like a lot of my life decisions, in time, was about me. It was all about me. I’m really trying to make it not about me.”
@MichaelBorkey Not relevant to the point at all. I’m not arguing for them to make the playoff or asking you to feel sorry for them. I AM arguing they would be ranked higher if they were 10-2 with a win over a bad team rather than a competitive loss to the best team. The only point of contention
@MichaelBorkey Ok, so not an FCS team, but the point remains. There’s obviously an incentive to schedule an easy opponent. You don’t think they would be ranked higher right now had they beat a bad team week 1? That’s all the argument comes down to.
@MichaelBorkey I think most people agree, but it hinges on him being the LSU coach. No answer is probably an answer, but suspending the best coach you’ve ever had for the biggest games you’ve ever played without being 100% certain he’s gone would be wild. Tough spot for Keith.
@DanWolken He’ll just remain “undecided” until he forces Ole Miss’ hand into saying they aren’t letting him coach anymore. That way he can say he didn’t quit on the team, he wanted to coach it out but they wouldn’t let him.
@markocantdunk It’s funny how many people complain about Ja and JJJ not playing together enough and also argue you have to have one of them on the floor at all times
