Sometimes I think about how I could have been born in the time of the Greeks or the Romans, and experienced the wonderful self-respecting culture those civilizations had.
And then I think about how I ended up born in Portland where people hate America, go on naked bike rides in front of kids, and poop on the sidewalk.
Oh the better things we could have…
It’s really hard not to get black-pilled about this.
The Supreme Court has determined your country isn’t yours, and that we don’t have a culture worthy of protecting. They have declared America simply an economic-zone for the world, where the national culture is materialism and cheap labor.
They don’t care if foreigners come here and vote your rights and your future away.
To them and the people truly in charge you’re only good for the taxes you pay, but otherwise you’re merely a nuisance.
This doesn’t end well.
I usually try my best to stay positive on here. I try not to blackpill.
But it’s so over. You now live in an economic zone with a governing body. You don’t have a Nation any more.
You may earn yourself a Nation again, but the old one is gone.
Why are we even paying taxes at this point?
A government’s only reason to exist is to protect the rights of its citizens, and our government seems to protect the rights of everyone EXCEPT its citizens.
Womp womp.
People who don’t want their territory reduced to a fine powder shouldn’t invade their neighbor to abduct, rape, and murder 2000+ people.
If Gaza didn’t f*ck around, Gaza wouldn’t have found out. It really is that simple.
Israel doesn’t placate to Islamic extremists or their sympathizers, and neither should the United States. And I don’t either.
Also the highest earners aren’t even working. Or rather they aren’t really contributing.
In one of the highest income cities in Oregon, the top earners are in real estate (or related field). They make their money buying and selling the same patches of dirt over and over through commissions, fees, and interest.
So they don’t actually innovate or produce anything. And sure they pay taxes, though that also helps maintain property values.
When our highest earners don’t contribute much, what does that say about our economy? Why does someone in real estate deserve more pay than a police officer for instance? Not to throw shade at anyone, I know good people in real estate and I get the appeal of what they do, but even they would admit this system is backwards and broken.
I think a large component of the economic issues right now is that no one wants to work and I dont just mean low skill
It seems everyday more and more people that I know are just checking out
Huh? How do you have a conversation with people who openly declare their desire to annihilate your country.
Somebody please get Vance away from anything foreign policy related.
Vance says that instead of Israel responding with force (in Lebanon), they should respond with conversation, stresses that Israel has a right to self defense, but doesn't want the conflict to spiral out of control.
