@letstalkbirth listening to @hudamohamed_10 discuss the life changing effects on women who have been subject to FGM and the harmful practice of female cutting.
Education on FGM is essential for everyone working with women and young girls to help understand and spot the signs.
November is here, and with it comes an important reminder about men’s mental health. 💙
This month, we are shining a spotlight on men’s mental health. Whether you’re a dad or not, mental well-being is essential, and it deserves attention every single day of the year.
Society often expects men to keep their struggles to themselves, but mental health challenges don’t go away just because they’re ignored. Addressing mental health openly allows men to lead fuller, healthier lives. For dads, it’s about being the best version of yourself for your kids. For every man, it’s about taking care of yourself and embracing the importance of mental well-being.
For dads, this journey can feel like a juggling act—balancing work, family, and personal well-being. This month, we want to shine a light on the importance of mental health for all men, dads.
Fatherhood often brings joy and challenges in equal measure, but too often, dads feel they must carry the load alone. Whether you are a new dad, a seasoned one, or somewhere in between, remember it’s okay to seek support, talk about how you are feeling, and reach out.
Together we can break down the barriers, normalise these conversations, and encourage one another.
We are here to support you. 💙 This November, and every day let’s make mental health a priority. November is just a reminder, but mental health matters all year. Let’s normalise conversations, offer support, and let the men in our lives know they’re not alone.

NICE guideline on Inducing Labour: “Recognise that women can decide to proceed with, delay, decline or stop an induction. Respect the woman’s decision, even if healthcare professionals disagree with it, and do not allow personal views to influence the care they are given.”
To mark International Women's Day, Vicky Bertenshaw (Industry Engagement Lead, HInM) reflects on Female health as she poses the question 'Can we afford not to make #Femtech a priority?'
