This tweet didn’t age well

Circle this date and mark my words: The Sixers will win the NBA Finals in the 2021-2022 season. I'm calling it right now

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

I had to make a postgame video for that Sixers win. I promise I won’t do this after every game. But I just love this team so much already. #ThrowTheBallUp

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

Don’t worry, Cavs fans. I’m sure that according to Kenny Atkinson’s analytics, you guys won that game.

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

THE 76ERS COME BACK FROM A 29-POINT DEFICIT TO BEAT THE CAVS!

LARGEST COMEBACK FOR THE SIXERS THIS CENTURY! WHAT A SCENE IN PHILLY! PLAY THE SONG!!! #ThrowTheBallUp

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

I was hatewatching Jaylen Brown’s Twitch streams 6 months ago. Now he’s dominating in a Sixers uniform and I love him to death.

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

I hope the haters enjoyed that first half. Because the Sixers are back to being completely electric. Listen to this crowd😂

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

In light of us being down 24 at the half, I have elected NOT to make this my pinned tweet

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

Might make this my pinned tweet

Might make this my pinned tweet

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

Goodnight guys. I am going to bed a happy man. Philly needed this win today. I needed this win today. The new-look Sixers are here and they’re beautiful.

My full thoughts: #ThrowTheBallUp

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

THE NEW-LOOK SIXERS BEAT THE DEFENDING CHAMPS! THEY SPOIL RING NIGHT AT MSG! THAT’S HOW YOU START A SEASON, FOLKS!

PLAY THE SONG! #ThrowTheBallUp

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! WHAT A NIGHT!

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

I can’t wait for LeBron and the Sixers to ruin Ring Night at this place on October 20th

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

Tyrese Maxey was undoubtedly the best player on the floor tonight. So crazy to see him develop into a complete superstar in this league. The absolute man.

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

YEAR 24. LEBRON IS A SIXER.

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

I have full-on chills watching the Sixers right now.

We went through years of tanking.

We had GMs trashing the current players through burner accounts.

We dealt with star point guards holding the team hostage.

We endured Tobias Harris.

And it all led to this beautiful team.

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

Still not convinced that this is real life

[Connor Griffin @RealCGriff]

The CG Poll is here after this past week’s NFL slate. Eagles are no longer ranked.
