Their policies are actually better than Blockbuster's were.
There's plenty of options, aside from digital/streaming.
People just want the past, their childhood, back.

It may or may not be the live-action Justice League 2 fans are hoping for but he has the connections with the buyers, so something WILL happen if he wants to do it.

I think it blurs the line too much with "laser vision" and makes his power seem far less interesting and unique

The PS5 feels like it just released, even though it's been over 5 years.
It doesn't even feel like it's been a real console generation.

He's an alternate universe version of Red.
One of the default names for Red in the games was literally Ash/Satoshi.
No different than 2 variants of Spider-Man or Batman.
They are NOT separate characters that exist in the same world

Ash is just an alternate universe version of Red and he got some shine.
He was like the Tom Holland Spider-Man compared to Tobey Maguire or comics Spider-Man, for example.
