Psychologically, #angels and #demons affect us by forming an image the imagination. They must use something already stored in memory, but can merge these to form new images. EG demons could use knowledge of 'gold' and 'mountain' to make us see a gold mountain.

In the #gospel, #demons at first seem unclear about who #christ is because after their fall they lost the virtue of infused #faith. From #Jesus' #miracles and all things he was doing they would eventually conclude he was the One Who is to come.

#Demons retain 'evening' knowledge, granted at creation. They lack 'morning' knowledge, granted to the other #angels after the fall. Thus, they remain in the night, intellect darkened, unaware of certain aspects of #God's #divine plan.

Knowledge of truth comes from 1) nature and 2) grace. #Demons only suffer darkness of the intellect and falsity in relationship to that which exceeds #nature (i.e. the #order of #grace).

They err about nothing except that which pertains to grace.

One of the #diabolic principles is "knowledge is power". #Demons do not communicate knowledge to one another unless the absolutely must. Even lower demons will keep knowledge from those above them in order to have some semblance of control in a situation.

Demons retain #angelic powers even after the fall. The word "#demon" means to inspire (suggest things contrary to #God). They tempt and separate us from God. #Demons, however, we're not created so. In the beginning, they were created good but fell through their own #sin.
