•A salmonella risk caused 4 million eggs to be pulled for store shelves.
•A listeria outbreak caused millions of pounds of deli meats from Boar’s Head.
•Bacteria risks & metal pieces found in packaging of cucumbers, fresh spinach, carrots & frozen waffles.

2023 (There were 313 total food recalls)
•A salmonella outbreak in cantaloupe lead millions of pounds to be recalled & also to hundreds of illnesses & several deaths.
•A listeria outbreak in peaches, nectarines, & plums caused millions of pounds to be recalled.
•A salmonella outbreak in granola bars, cereals & snack mixes caused Quaker Oats to recall millions of packages of product.
•High levels of lead & chromium was the cause for hundreds of thousands pounds of apple sauce to be recalled.
•A potential Hepatitis A risk caused millions of packages of frozen fruits to be recalled.

2022 (There were 289 total food recalls)
•A recall due to potential cronobacter sakazakii & salmonella caused a baby formula shortages.
•A salmonella outbreak caused millions of pounds of peanut butter & items containing peanut butter to be recalled.
•A Hepatitis A outbreak caused millions of pounds of organic strawberries to be recalled.
•A salmonella outbreak caused thousands of pounds of alfalfa sprouts to be recalled.

2021 (There were 270 total food recalls)
•A salmonella outbreak caused millions of pounds of onions imported from Mexico to be recalled.
•A listeria monocytogenes outbreak caused 8.5 million pounds of chicken to be recalled.
•A salmonella typhimurium outbreak caused hundreds of thousands of pounds of meats used in charcuterie trays to be recalled.
•A water product was recalled because it was linked to non-viral hepatitis & acute liver failure.
•Aflatoxin, which is a toxin produced by mold was linked to the deaths of more than 110 dogs.

When Pritzker took office the Illinois budget was $38.5B & his first budget was $40.1B.

The current budget is $55.1B & next year it will be $55.9B, that’s a 39% increase.

He was told either college or military were his only two options.

His parents weren’t exactly excited when he went to trade school. Actually they were a little embarrassed.

Most of their friends’ kids were going off to universities. Their son was showing up to job sites at 6am.

By 21 he was making $90k

By 24 he had his master electrician license making over $120k

At 27 he started taking his own jobs on the side for a total of $200k

Last year at 29 his little “electrician business” did $1.8M with 4 vans.
