@moving_charlie “Whenever the legislators endeavour to take away and destroy the property of the people… they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience.”
John Locke, Two Treaties of Government (1689)
@ukhpinfo@KirstieMAllsopp In real terms (inflation-adjusted), UK house prices are negative. Nominal growth is only ~2%, while inflation has been higher than this, so real values have fallen.
@jdpoc@MigrantTrackUK The trend was down. It seems the trend changed to up after Labour gained power.
There was a huge spike when the abysmal 0.3% growth data was released.
It might be the fastest in the G7 but it doesn't matter if growth is not enough to cover the spending.
It's a bad situation.
@CarCounsel@TeslaAlien I think he means that Peter is claiming no one is close to 5 miles per kWh but there are cars like the model 3 which get 4.7 and like you said the BMW i3 gets 4.7 and both these cars cost much less than the Lucid so I guess Peter is wrong?
@CarCounsel@TeslaAlien Wow you guess are going crazy here haha.
I don't think he is saying no one is close to Tesla, I think he is referring to what the Lucid CEO guy says in the video about no one being close to Lucid.
I'm not an i3 fan in terms of the looks but I guess it was a decent piece of tech
#Bitcoin $BTC is resting right on the POC (Point of Control). This refers to the most popular price level where the highest volume of trades previously occurred.
This is BTC / GBP
@hayleyinvests Seems like a desperate attempt to help UK companies with access to capital. The reason nobody wants to invest in UK companies is because the government wrecked the economy and voters on the wrong side of the bell curve voted to leave the EU.
Fix this and investors will return.
@MartinSLewis Ironically, it is this group that would get the most fu$%$d by this in the long term.
Make sure you start investing now because you won't be getting a state pension. Better get putting some money away for private healthcare too.
@MartinSLewis Well, it depends, if you've worked all your life to build up those investments so you can retire and enjoy life before you die then it seems unfair to go after those people simply because the government is useless and has broken the economy
How about higher taxes on politicians?
@MattWallace1701 @FuturamaKing Please talk us through your maths so we can understand.
Rivian cash ~$9.4B
Rivian quarterly cash burn ~$1.4B
Based on these numbers how do they get to scaled and profitable production of R2 and R3 before running out of cash?
