@thevikingegg @Big_Sexy__ Really? No reason?
So you think someone should just hand you an apartment on Central Park in Manhatten for less than $1,000 a month because *gosh darnit* no one should ever pay more than $1,000 a month.
Yeah for entitlement!!
@toriible@Yung_saltinez@brako_patrick@ParikPatelCFA@elonmusk I think your tweet shows that humans really can find the downside in just about anything.
Apparently, if the area had no new significant business growth and shrank slowly year-by-year, that would be ideal...
@GPat31415@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress Are you trapped in a time warp?
That happened 50 years ago and both the guys you are on about died in the 1990s.
You need new material.
@ATLDad1121@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress If we make min wage too high, firms will look to eliminate jobs sooner by automation. Happening anyway, but it would be better if it happens more gradually.
High wages can increase outsourcing to other countries.
Some wage growth is good, too much will hurt many workers
@ATLDad1121@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress I agree that is hard to live on. This discussion is too advanced for Twitter's word limit
I will try to answer it in another tweet, but I am fine with some minimum wage increases, but I do not want to do too far
I will write of my concerns about going too far in the next tweet
@ATLDad1121@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress Hopefully, you would then be in favor of reducing BOTH governmental and corporate power?
I could definitely be down with that.
@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress I am not deluded, but thanks for asking.
Yes, I do think of the two parties that get almost all of the votes in the country that the Democrats are much more in favor of socialism.
They are also more likely to support your ideas to FORCE submission to your economic authority.
@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress OK, now we get to the truth "FORCEFULLY buy shares". Dig under every socialist and you always find an authoritarian.
It went from not authoritarian to not MUCH authoritarianism.
And what happens when you have all that power and someone gets in your way?
authoritarianism
@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress Capitalism, if organized correctly, does not 'fuck over the workers' at all.
Quite the opposite.
The irony is that it is the party of the socialists (Dems) that have been against using the Social Security trust fund to have workers buy equity in the markets! So dumb.
@LibertarianSoc6 @spifczyk @Salem4Congress You are missing the authoritarianism needed to take (steal?) the means of production from the current holders to the new holders (workers apparently).
How would this changeover work in your estimation?
