@RoyalCaribbean will not see another cent from me. Literally ever. They are quick to take payment, and slow-as in up to 90 days- to release that same payment back to you. If I had know these issues would occur pending a cancellation, I'd have gone with another cruise line.
what happens over 45 minutes later? @RoyalCaribbean HANGS THE PHONE UP. I waited for 45 minutes to speak to someone JUST so I could get an email I should've gotten as a courtesy in the 1st place, and they hang up the phone. I can't really stress how upset and annoyed I am.
BUT, I'm not in the department that does this. I'll have to transfer you the department that can do that for you. It may take up to 30 minutes to get through. @RoyalCaribbean is a billion dollar company, and they make you wait. For everything. I say: Ok, I'll wait. Do you know
you can't send me an email I actually need? I spent almost $4000 with your company, and you can't send me an email stating that my cruise is cancelled without me having to ask for it? What I say is: Ok, well at this point, will you be able to send the email? I'm told: Yes, we can
So I call @RoyalCaribbean back. Amazingly I get someone on the phone after about 10 minutes. The gentleman explains to me that THEY DON'T SEND CANCELLATION EMAILS to their customers, unless requested. I'm thinking to myself: You send me 8 million unsolicited emails a day, and
They picked up fairly quickly. They were super professional. Stated that I'd need to forward them the cancellation email from @RoyalCaribbean so that they could freeze my account and they wouldn't take any more payments. They stated either that or a call from them would suffice.
I was told they wouldn't be, and I'd have to contact them myself to alert them to the cancellation of the trip. Ok. Weird, but fine. I get it. You already have your money, and now you're losing it, make the consumer deal with it. Cool. Thanks @RoyalCaribbean. So I call Uplift.
So. This morning I called @RoyalCaribbean to cancel a cruise I was going on in August of this year. After 40 minutes of hold time, I spoke with some one that took me through the process. Cool. I asked them if they'd be contacting Uplift Inc., who I financed the trip through.
