Anyway I don’t tend to post stuff about MY opinions but I feel like as a game artist it’s just upsetting to see and as a tech enjoyer this just feels cheap and lame compared to pushing traditional rendering further with advancements like path tracing etc.
Man, DLSS5 looks bad, aside from it looking like a AI slop filter. Why can’t we just let games look like games, realism is overrated.
I think it’s cool we can do this kinda thing but doesn’t mean we should.
Also I feel like putting a AI pass over people’s artwork is insulting.
I feel like once we go down this path of “neural rendering” we are going to lose the art of what makes games art look so special, it’s the human imperfections and working around limitations that make games what they are and give them charm.
Howdy gang!
Decided to get creative and make a trailer for the Point Lookout mod for Fallout 4 :D
I was aiming to get it out for Fallout Day but life gets busy 😅

Thought I might as well post my painted owlbear sculpt/3d print, I made the model a long time ago but only just got around to painting it now, think it turned out pretty well! 😄
Just waiting, it’s pretty cool but I can see the vertex paint and tiling texture on the godrays, not very convincing assets should just use volumetrics instead of billboards
Pre-ordered rtx 5090 on Scan, I never usually preorder but I trust scan with this kinda thing, literally the biggest purchase I have ever done but I use my PC daily after work for gaming and general 3D art stuff so I’ll get my worth out of it in enjoyment 😅
I wanted a founders edition since they look so damn nice but had to settle for a gigabyte gaming oc, I’ve always gone gigabyte in the past and they haven’t let me down yet.
My 3080 FE can rest soon after 4 years of being over worked from raytracing, rendering baking and unreal😆
